Camp notes
I Can See a Rainbow is a joyful, hands-on art adventure where children dive into the magical world of colour! Over six creative hours, young artists will explore the science, emotion, and imagination behind the colours of the rainbow through playful experimentation and exciting art projects.
Inspired by artists like Wassily Kandinsky, who believed colours could express feelings, and Piet Mondrian, who explored bold primary colours, children will discover how colours can tell stories, create moods, and transform simple materials into vibrant masterpieces.
Throughout the day, participants will:
🎨 Experiment with colour mixing to create their own rainbow palettes
🌈 Explore warm and cool colours through painting and collage
🖌 Create large-scale collaborative rainbow artwork
✨ Discover how light and water can change the way colours appear
🖍 Use a variety of materials including paint, pastels, tissue paper, and mixed media
The workshop encourages curiosity, confidence, and creative expression in a relaxed and supportive environment. With guided activities and plenty of free creative time, children will leave not only with beautiful artwork but also with a deeper understanding of how colours work — and how they can use them to express their own bright ideas.
By the end of I Can See a Rainbow, every child will see the world in a whole new spectrum! 🌟
